Headway Surrey Coronavirus Crisis Fund

Headway Surrey's main outdoors, community, sporting, fundraising events were to be held in March, April, May and June.  Alas, with the coronavirus pandemic this has meant we have had to cancel and postpone everything.  Sponsored walk, quizzes, fayres, talks, London Marathon, Gala Ball, collections, sponsored cycle ride and everything else. 

We would have raised nearly £100,000 from theses community and sporting events, so the impact is huge on our charity.  Your support and help is vital during this time.

We have turned all of our services into virtual remote services and we are looking after our clients in the professional and caring way that we always do.  We have daily welfare phone calls, to check on medicine and food, to help reassure clients and to relieve their anxieties and isolation.

We have zoom groups, online quizzes, social groups, art groups, assessments and inductions all online and done via Skype, Zoom, Teams or Facetime.  We are sending out bespoke work packs and activities for clients to do during the week to continue their cognitive recovery.

The UK charity sector estimates it will lose £4 billion in income as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled due to Covid-19.
