Daphne has been sharpening her skills for fund-raising and friend-raising for non-profit organizations since 1998. Her experience in team building, volunteer management, grant writing, and organizing fundraising efforts aids her current role with GHNI.
Traveling for field work since 2001, she has come alongside those living in extreme poverty in Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe learning poverty looks very similar in all cultures. While culturally, there are different rituals and habits, anthropologically, humanity varies little in different cultures. Each parent wants the best for their children, seeking to make a healthy living and provide a future of hope. Basic principles of living are often the highlight of interacting with different cultures.
Daphne’s husband Dave provides support and encouragement in her role. She also finds joy through her daughter and son in law, Whitney & Arthur, foster sons, David & Andrew, as well as their dogs, Delta and Attila.
