 Hope Secondary school

Hope Secondary school

Why we need your help

Hope Secondary School in rural Blantyre is open, providing 60 students a year the opportunity to attend secondary school, which they otherwise would not have.

Phase 2  will include provision of solar power for the school togethr with equipping and resourcing the laboratory and computer room.

We also plan to build a shelter for assemblies and study circles.

Phase 3 will provide additional teacher housing so that teachers can live on site. As Hope is 5 km from the nearest trading area, electircity and main road it is difficult for teachers to live nearby unless there is teacher housing.  Living in the village enables teachers to know the environment and the community which impacts the school positively.

Phase 4 will increase size of the school from one form entry to two form entry with 4 further classrooms and additional toilets
