We are asking everyone to help us celebrate our 30th birthday by supporting our ’30 For 30’ campaign, which will take place throughout September.
From 1st-30th September, we want as may people to get involved as possible by doing 30 things for LOROS. So whether that is reading 30 books, swimming 30 lengths of the pool or completing a 30-hour dance-a-thon, this really is a chance for absolutely everybody to get involved.
Whether you are part of a football team, the local guide group, or a dog-walking club, this is fantastic opportunity for everybody and anybody to support their local Hospice.
Whatever you do, we are setting you the target of raising £30 and asking businesses and large organisations to set the bar a little higher, with a goal of £300, or even £3,000!
There are already lots of fantastic events taking place in September, including the Great Glen Wheelbarrow Race, Walk on the Wildside and the London to Brighton Cycle Ride, so there really is no excuse not to get involved.
Your £30 could pay for:
- Collecting three patients from their homes, so they can use the day therapy service at LOROS.
- An hour of care for one of our inpatients.
- The cost of a complimentary therapy session, which could help relieve a patient’s pain and sickness, or help reduce the anxiety of their family members.
Help spread the word, get involved yourself and do something amazing.
