Lancashire Flood Recovery Appeal 2020

Lancashire Flood Recovery Appeal 2020

Why we need your help

The Community Foundation for Lancashire has launched a recovery fund appeal to support households in need affected by flooding, following Storm Ciara.

Donations from businesses, individual donors and the wider public are being sought to maximise the impact of our Lancashire Flood Recovery Appeal Fund to reach those affected by storm devastation – helping with emergency repairs, clothing, childcare equipment, furniture and white goods.

Areas where support is being provided currently include:

  • Blackpool
  • Burnley
  • Hyndburn
  • Ribble Valley

The Community Foundation for Lancashire specialises in developing funds for businesses, individuals and families seeking to invest in charitable causes.

It has kick-started the appeal with some existing funds secured from business and individuals’ donations provided to support countywide communities affected by flooding in the wake of severe weather incidents, which also afflicted Lancashire in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Please note: Due to limited funding, support is currently provided to uninsured households with priority provided to households with people over the age of 70, children under five, those living with physical or learning difficulties or mental health needs, along with residents on low income or benefits.
