On Saturday May 13th, staff, Trustees, family, friends and supporters of Open Door will be taking part in ‘Walking out of Darkness’ - a 10 mile sponsored walk along the banks of the river Thames organised by the charity CLASP. The event aims to increase mental health awareness and suicide prevention and to end stigma and discrimination.

Mental health charities and their supporters have been invited to take part in Walking out of Darkness to raise funds for their own services. We are very grateful to CLASP for giving us this opportunity and look forward to joining with others to promote mental health whilst getting fit, seeing the sights of London and enjoying the after party in Battersea Park.

Open Door relies on donations to fund its free therapy service for young people in Haringey. There are currently more than 100 teenagers and young adults waiting to receive the help they desperately need. Any funds raised from this event will enable us to help more young people more quickly, so please donate whatever you can.
