The Bromley Mencap Fundaising Objective

Bromley Mencap plans to develop a community hub offering training, employment opportunities and a range of inclusive activities for disabled people.  The concept is particularly pertinent to the Pixel Peleton as it is hoped the Hub will be feature Bike Recycling so as well as raising funds for this great cause you could always donate your old bike.

Bromley Mencap will need to raise capital and revenue funding to support the social enterprise.  Their fundraising target is £100,000 and the proceeds from the Pixel Peloton will help get this ambitious project off the ground. See further details of the planned work bellow.

Please feel free to enlist the support of external sponsorship for either yourself or your team, thank you for your generous support.

Bromley Mencap's Summer Raffle will be drawn at the event so if you would like to enter for a chance to win then please follow the link:

This is a worthy cause and all help will be welcomed. The Mencap community hub plans also include:

  • A café/kiosk, offering snacks, sandwiches and cakes for sale, and provide hot beverages, cold drinks and ice cream. We will create a seating/table area for customers on the ground floor and have tables in the front garden.  In the eating area we will exhibit art and products that have been created by disabled entrepreneurs who have their own micro enterprises.

  • The garden – We feel that this space will offer new opportunities to our disabled beneficiaries who want to learn gardening skills.  The garden is big enough for poly tunnels, where we could grow fruit and vegetables and plants, hanging baskets/planters for sale in the park.

  • Showcase our micro enterprises – card making, photography, cake decoration, dog walking etc.
