ProClinical proud to support OPERA
Why we need your help
ProClinical is proud to be a Gold supporter of The OPERA Global Youth Foundation.
In 2018 we aim to raise £3,000 for OPERA's #thrivefund and help at least 6 young people find, gain and stay in work.
ProClinical is proud to support OPERA as it we believe it is a privilege to utilise our recruitment and staffing expertise to make a difference to young peoples' lives. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to earn a living no matter their background, and we hope to guide these young people into meaningful employment by providing them with a crucial understanding of the working world
About The OPERA Global Youth Foundation's #thrivefund
Many young people face the most fundamental barriers to employment, like not being able to pay for travel or work clothes. The #thrivefund grants bursaries to young people furthest from the job market, supporting them into work. By removing the financial and practical barriers to employment, young people are given a significantly higher chance of success. 86% of those receiving a bursary are in work a year later.
So far the #thrivefund has helped to support over 270 young people with work essentials.
For example:
£23 - pays for a birth certificate to be reissued so that a young person can prove their right to work
£30 - pays for a pair of shoes to wear to an interview or new job
£100 - pays for a suit and shoes to wear to an interview or new job
£120 - pays for CSCS training and a construction safety card
£179 - pays for one month London xone 1-4 travel card
£277 - pays for chef course fees and equipment
£346 - pays for tools so that a young electrician can begin employment
