Team Carr Gomm is Carr Gomm's 2018 fundraising campaign encouraging people across Scotland to get active, be social and raise money along the way to Stomp Out Loneliness. Will you join us?

We know that loneliness is bad for our health; but did you know it is as bad as smoking 15 cigarettes a day?

"What does it feel like to be lonely?  I can tell you exactly, it's like being in a bubble and you want to get out but you just can't, you try and you can't do it, you just can't get out." ("Trapped in a Bubble", Co-op & British Red Cross)

Friendships and social connections help us stay well and help us recover when we're not feeling our best.

And loneliness is an issue that affects us all.  Over one million older people always or often feel lonely as well as 68% of people aged 18-65 and an incredible 80% of under 18's.

So what can you do about it? Join Team Carr Gomm on our 1,000 mile virtual journey around Scotland, raising money to fund our vital community development projects helping people to change their lives.
