The Together for Women Fund is a supportive network of women in Berkshire helping local women and girls in need. Violence against women and girls, including modern slavery is a huge issue in Berkshire.

BCF’s Together for Women Fund enables women to support disadvantaged women and girls in our communities. Working together to combat a number of key issues affecting women and girls in the county, which include modern slavery, exploitation, domestic violence and abuse, sexual assault and social isolation.

This fund will support the lifesaving work that is helping women and girls across the county. BCF is working with Thames Valley Police and national funders to ensure research, planning and support is in place as well as providing funding to local charities who are a lifeline to those in need. Members form part of a powerful philanthropic movement. By pledging an annual donation, you will enable BCF to undertake and fund vital projects to make a difference to women’s lives.

As a supporter of the Together for Women Fund at our Community Foundation, you’re part of movement. The UK Community Foundations network has now collectively given away over £1 billion thanks to the generosity of local philanthropists.

FAQ

How will you involve men in this programme?
We know that to make real change this work must involve and embrace everyone. We needed to make a start
somewhere, supporting men is critical and is included in the grants we make.
How will you make use of any funding?
BCF are already involved in various community projects including chairing the Anti-Slavery Network, working
in partnership with Thames Valley Police, commissioning regular research to promote and enable key
funding decisions, securing national funding and match funding e.g. Tampon Tax Fund and supporting
charities with project planning and partnership working. We will continue to fund groups and activities across
Berkshire that are providing vital support to those suffering because of modern slavery, exploitation, domestic
violence and abuse, sexual assault and social isolation.
How can I get more involved?
We trust you share our belief that all women have a right to live in environments that are safe and where they
feel free from fear. Historical sexual abuse and domestic violence are ongoing concerns in Berkshire and in
addition, there is the issue of isolation and poverty. If you would like to contribute to the Together for Women
Fund, please see the following ways of getting involved below or visit:
