Raising funds to support HORIZON LGBTQ+ Keyworkers at Renaissance UK During the COVID-19 Pandemic 

A message from the Chair at Pride Blackpool

"Streaming online & celebrating together. As you are all well aware, as the extent of the Covid outbreak was made public, the committee of Pride Blackpool felt we had to take steps to help protect public safety and made the announcement to cancel this years outdoor event. Since then, the committee have been working hard to support, wherever possible, our local LGBTQ+ community here in Blackpool and with that in mind we have decided that Pride will indeed take place this year, but it will be Blackpool’s first ever virtual Pride.

Available online & streaming on would have been this years outdoor event, Saturday 6th June. Our 1st ever digital Pride will be a fundraiser with all proceeds going to our charity partners, HORIZON LGBTQ+ at Renaisance UK.

As many of you know HORIZON LGBTQ+ at Renaissance UK are based here in Blackpool and offer support and guidance across many aspects of drug, alcohol and sexual health issues faced within the LGBTQ+ community here in Blackpool and Pride has, over the last few years, always strived to support them and their work wherever possible.

The committee feel this is an ideal way for the entire community to come together and show our appreciation for all the hard work and dedication their key workers are committing to throughout this dreadful pandemic, as they continue to deliver their serviceswithin the community on a daily basis.
