Get Involved in #GivingTuesday - 28th November 2017.

#GivingTuesday, a global day of giving, takes place on the Tuesday following Black Friday and Cyber Monday and is a chance to give something back after all that shopping! #GivingTuesday aims to encourage people, charities and businesses to donate their time, their money or their voice to help a good cause.

This year, Wicked Weather Watch (WWW) is holding two schools events enabling over 200 children to find out more about climate change, it’s impact on the Arctic and UK and what we can all do about it.

Arctic sea ice reaches its minimum each September. According to NASA, September Arctic sea ice is now declining at a rate of 13.3% per decade. More ice is melting away during the summers and less new ice forming in the winters.

While sea ice is declining, global temperatures are rising and our fragile planet is changing.

Would YOU help us to inspire EVEN MORE children by raising funds for WWW and helping us engage the next generation to protect and enjoy their planet?

£13 - would enable one child to participate in a day long Arctic-themed event including sessions using music, drama, dance or a giant Arctic puzzle to explore this awesome region and climate change.

£133 - would fund an Arctic Adventurer to speak at two primary schools, bringing the Arctic and climate change to life in the classroom through their personal tales of adventure!

£1330 - would enable WWW to produce a complete new scheme of work (6 lessons and accompanying resources) meeting Key Stage 1 curriculum, supporting teachers with free resources that provide fun and inspiring activities to teach about climate change.

#GivingTuesday is a rallying call to everyone who wants to give something back to our planet. Get involed now!
