Why we need your help
The Agnes Hunt Village project
A project to create modern and bespoke housing for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The target is £1million
The aim is to provide bespoke housing for students at Derwen College to promote independent living skills and prepare our students for life after college.
The plan is to modernise the Agnes Hunt Village - a cherished and well used housing complex situated at Derwen College campus in Gobowen. Built in 1955, the Agnes Hunt Village was created to house people with disability. It has been used extensively by the college for nearly 70 years.
Today, students move to the Agnes Hunt Village to learn and boost independent living skills.
The project will:
create fully accessible 'homes' to accommodate today's modern wheelchairs
create fully accessible bedrooms with en-suite wet rooms
create bright and modern kitchens and living areas
introduce energy efficient technology reduce our carbon footprint
