Butterwick Urgent COVID-19 Appeal
Why we need your help
Mary Butterwick, created Butterwick Hospice Care to help local people, just like you, who were coming to the end of their lives. Mary wished to support families, like yours, in the hardest of times. Today, we serve your community with the same motivations.
Life limiting illnesses are indiscriminate and have no boundaries of age, wealth, or lifestyle and you never knows when they may impact on your life or those of a loved one, family member, or friend. They don't stop because there is a global pandemic and the care people need will not wait. People with terminal illnesses, their families and their carers need your help now more than ever. The need to look after our patients is urgent. We cannot continue to care without your support.
The coronavirus pandemic has had a devastating impact on many charities, and just like you, we are nervous about what the future will bring. Due to the closure of our shops and the postponement of events we have been unable to raise the funds that would ensure our services are there for you and your community.
That’s why today I need to ask you for your help. We urgently need donations to allow your local hospice to keep caring. Without your support, it will have a devastating impact on the services we can provide to your community.
- £17 may support a grieving family member via specialist counselling services.
- £60 could allow a very sick child to play in our state-of-the-art sensory room.
- £100 could help facilitate specialist peer-to-peer support for those living with a terminal cancer diagnosis.
If you are able, please consider making a gift today. In Mary Butterwick’s words “This place is all about love. Without the love of the community, it can’t exist.” Your gift today will help us to care for those coming to the end of their life or those who have lost a loved one. With your support we can continue to keep caring during these extremely difficult times.
Every moment counts. You can help to add life to days when adding days to life is no longer possible. Please be assured that your support is very gratefully received and your donation will be spent wisely.
Please, if you are able to help, donate today.
