Make Carers Count
Why we need your help
We need your help to support unpaid carers during this lonely and scary time.
Our unpaid carers look after a friend or family member who cannot cope without their support. This includes those who are elderly or have a physical or mental illness.
With the Government’s recommendations for social distancing for people over 70 and/or those with underlying conditions, Carers in Hertfordshire’s services have never been more in demand.
Our services support over 109,000 unpaid carers living in Hertfordshire, to maintain a healthy wellbeing and positive mental health so they can still provide crucial support to the person they are caring for.
They are a vulnerable group so naturally we are extremely concerned about their wellbeing during this time. More importantly, many are not just at risk to their own mental health but also the COVID-19 virus.
We are committed to ensuring our information, advice and support services can continue to safely help our carers especially those most at risk through this difficult time, but we urgently need your support.
Every pound you donate makes carers count.
- £10 could pay to answer two calls to our Carer Support Advisors from vulnerable carers needing practical and emotional support to cope during this crisis.
- £20 could pay for vital “keep in touch” calls to cares who have no one to turn to.
- £50 could pay for online group activities to support mental health and wellbeing for a community of carers.
Thank you for your donation - you are making carers count!
