Dental Surgeon 1917
Why we need your help
Our bound copy of this rare UK based magazine is in a sorry state of repair.
It has been used extensively for research over the last five years and is now really showing its age!
We are raising money to cover the cost of rebinding and preserving this historically important journal.
The volume is packed full of interesting stories such as this one about the De Trey Dental Car, the first mobile dental van taken out to minister to soldiers fighting out in France.
Other reports cover dentists in front of military tribunals trying to obtain an exemption from service in the armed forces - there was a chronic short of dental surgeons in the UK at the time.
If you would like to see this journal kept for future generations please help us raise the money we need.
The names of all donors will be listed at the front of the newly rebound volume.
To donate offline please call us on 020 7563 4545 between 09:00 and 17:00 and quote "Dental Surgeon 1917".
