Glengoyne Lodge Redevelopment

Glengoyne Lodge Redevelopment

Why we need your help

Help us build a centre of excellence for inclusive adventure.

We provide challenge and adventure for young people with complex disabilities and life-shortening conditions aged 6 to 25.

From weekly activities to regular short breaks our aim is to encourage independence for young people, building their confidence, broadening their experiences whilst providing respite for their carers.

We're a small charity - run by over 120 dedicated volunteers but that doesn't limit our ambition - we want to develop our existing centre for outdoor short breaks into a centre of excellence, equipped for the needs of today's young people and open and inclusive to all.

Our existing centre - Glengoyne Lodge - was built in 1977. 40 years on it remains a focus for our adventures, but it is rapidly becoming unfit for purpose - and doesn't meet the more complex care needs our young people now have.

Initial sketches of Glengoyne Lodge

We have embarked on a project to prepare Glengoyne Lodge for the future. Rather than starting from scratch we have designed a cost-effective enlargement and redevelopment of what we already have.

To deliver this we need £250,000. Now we need your support to make this project a reality and invest in the next generation of young people who need this base if they are to experience adventure for themselves.
