Please support our amazing halow250 riders as they cycle 250 miles from London to France in just 48 hours, led by our charity’s patron, Damon Hill.

halow250 riders start line

The 130 riders, will depart from Young’s Kings Head Pub, Roehampton on Friday 3 May 2019 and then ride through the North and South Downs to Portsmouth to be welcomed in at Southsea Castle, Portsmouth. After some welcome refreshments the riders will then board the overnight ferry to France.

On day two, the riders will have a demanding day of intense cycling through France, passing the famous Mont St Michel and heading for Caen. The riders then take the overnight ferry back to Portsmouth for a final day of endurance by cycling back to Guildford to celebrate their achievements at the halow ‘Welcome Home party’.

Riders in France

The charity bike ride aims to raise £80,000 to support the halow project’s vital services helping young people with a learning disability to live independent, meaningful, fulfilled lives and become part of their local community.   We need to achieve even more this year.

With your support we aim to:

  • Recruit more Buddies to provide personalized support for more young people with a learning disability.

  • Expand our Supported Living Service to support young people in improving their life skills, confidence and independence. This means that young people will eventually be able to live independently in their own home.

  • Provide a wider range of activities within our A Reason to Get Up Programme so young people are inspired to learn and develop new skills within the community.

Please go the extra mile and give what you can by donating on this page.

Each rider has the challenge of fundraising £500 for their participation. You can donate directly onto this page, or choose a rider on the list below to support them directly.

The halow250 would not be possible without our generous sponsors who support the ride with a range of resources. Thanks to their continuing support, every penny raised will go straight towards our services for young people.

This year’s sponsors are:  GM Recruitment,  Youngs, Cheevers Howard,  Skyes and Sons, Lite Cup UK, Alexander Hotel, Branding Science,  Mazda Motorlux, Exchequer Solutions, Frank Reynolds Architects, Orchard Pig, Elswood Cycleworks and Clock Barn Hall, Godalming,
