Oral History 2020 Groundings
Why we need your help
Dr Walter Rodney’s The Groundings with My Brothers, first came out in 1969, a phenomenal publication that went on to inspire confidence in new, and young voices to learn about Black heritage, their shared histories, here in the UK and internationally. We are asking for your generous support to help fund our annual Huntley conference and educational activities for 2020 where we are reflecting on Rodney’s legacy.
There has never been a better time to share and document the stories of combatting racism, discover the hard-won fight for civil rights, by finding ways to connect communities, increase cohesion and knowledge, something which Jessica and Eric Huntley spent their entire lives acting upon.
Help us to take action now to document and share these with young people who crave to find out more about Black heritage. Join us as supporters, donors, volunteers and contributors to inspire generations by connecting through our oral history educational initiatives, visual art/archive exhibitions and public programmes. If you can't get involved right now, then do us a huge favour and spread the work by spreading the word. Thank you so much, Friends.
