Latymer School - Covid emergency appeal
Why we need your help
The Covid-19 pandemic has hit everyone hard, including the Latymer school. But we are working extremely hard to keep all our students learning, whether in a Covid-secure environment at school or in self-isolation at home.
Sadly, ensuring all the children and staff are as safe as possible has put an even greater pressure on our budget. We've had to hire extra cleaning staff, put up a marquee to keep the children dry during break time, and buy extra IT equipment among many other things. The government funding we received for Covid-related costs does not cover everything we need.
Keeping the school Covid-secure and continuing to teach students both at school and in self-isolation will cost us an extra £56 per student this year. As we have 1,383 students, that's over £77,000 extra deficit for this year alone.
The school was already facing rising financial pressure and this year we will have to rely even more on funds raised for the Latymer Foundation, to continue providing top-class teaching and learning activities, and to cover Covid-related costs.
So please donate to help the school stay Covid-secure and keep children learning, whether at school or in self-isolation. Any gift, large or small, will be a great help.
Thank you so much in advance for any support you may be able to give!
The money you donate to this campaign will be used towards any excess expenditure the school occurs as a result of Covid. In the event we would raise more than we need, the money will be used to help the school keep its standards high for all the children.
