Moksavadini and Sal are Leaving

Why we need your help

Moksavadini and Sal are leaving

Moksavadini and Sal are leaving the Centre Team on 31st May 2021 after playing a significant part in creating the conditions for a successful Buddhist Centre in Manchester. Many of us know and appreciate them although others may never have met them.
We have a lot to thank Moksavadini and Sal for, and they both now have a real need for some financial support from us if we can manage it.
Moksavadini has worked as the Finance Manager for the Centre for the last eight years and prior to that volunteered for a number of years in the Centre Team.
She has undertaken intensive training in bookkeeping and leaves us with very effective accounts systems, absolutely vital for the running of the Centre. She has worked diligently whilst also living with and managing long term health problems.
Sal has worked as the Centre's fundraiser for the last three years. This was a new role and Sal has approached her work with sensitivity and in a very personal way. Asking people for money is no easy task, it requires fearlessness, warmth and a deep held belief that the task is important.
Sal was the backbone behind some very successful fundraising events, like the   National and Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenges. There are also those one-to-one and small group conversations with Sangha members encouraging us all to look at the reality of the Centre’s needs and our relationship to money and the Centre.
DO give if you can to these women who have given of themselves with such generous hearts!

Moksavadini and Sal leave the Centre Team on 31st May after playing a significant part in creating the conditions for a successful Buddhist Centre in Manchester. We have a lot to thank Moksavadini and Sal for, and they both now have a real need for some financial support from us if we can manage it.

As Finance Manager for eight years and a volunteer for several years before that, Moksavadini has brought great expertise and diligence whilst also managing long term health problems, and leaves us with very effective accounts systems, absolutely vital for the running of the Centre.

As the Centre's fundraiser of four years, Sal brings sensitivity, fearlessness, warmth and a deep held belief in the task's  importance. From major events like the Three Peaks Challenges to one-to-one and small group conversations, Sal has encouraged us all to look at our relationship to money and the reality of the Centre’s needs.

Do give if you can! These women have given of themselves with such generous hearts.
