25th Anniversary Appeal
Why we need your help
In this country how much your parents earn is the biggest factor in how well a child will do in life, meaning some never get a chance to succeed simply because they happen to be born poor.
At Making The Leap, we believe that regardless of their background, children and young people should have the opportunity to become all that their talent and hard work will allow them to be.
We improve the lives of children and young people from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds aged 11 – 25 from across London by raising their aspirations, improving their access to opportunities and helping them to develop the skills, behaviours and outlook to succeed in education, work and in life. Last year we supported 8077 school children and 2099 young people across 26 London boroughs.
This year we will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary so we would like to kindly ask for your support to help us change more young lives.
We would like funding to continue our work with young people through our careers and employability project which raises their aspirations, develops their character and soft skills and provides them with access to fulfilling employment opportunities at top companies. We would also like support to continue delivering our aspirational projects and one off events to secondary school students which improves their confidence, develops their life skills whilst raising their awareness about possible career and further education pathways.
