My SuperCRIS Challenge 2017
Why we need your help
After the tremendous success fo the past edition, with more than 30 people raising funds for CRIS and reaching the expectacular amount of £70,000. We are launching My SuperCRIS Challenge 2017.
The aim of the challenge was to push people out of their comfort zone and face their fear head long while raising money. Men , women, even children and friends got together with the sole aim to making a difference. Each of them did there own unique challenge
Any cancer diagnosis brings with it, its own challenges to not just the patient but to friends and family as well. No matter how bad the prognosis they don't have the liberty to give up. And this what My SuperCRIS Challenge was all about, “to not give up”. Even though people volunteered in groups or as individuals the underline thread that joined all these challenges was the same, to not give up.
From running a full marathon to someone who had never run but pushing themselves to do a 7k run. From facing their life long fear of water by learning to swim to someone who had never cooked but learned to conquer the kitchen and threw a party for all their friends.
Friends got together to learn a new dance and some to power walk 21kilometre’s through London. Donating their hair when they hadn't had a haircut in years, for cancer survivor to a little girl asking her friends on her birthday to donate to our charity instead of giving her gifts or on the 40th birthday.
We had our hero’s in all. Fearless and willing to make a difference. But as someone rightly said” Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people can transform the world” and this is what each and every challenged proved the willingness to make a difference and the mindset to not give up.
Invite your friends, family and colleaguage to take part in this amazing project. Choose your challenge and start fundraising!!!!
