Statue for SIGBI at NMA
Why we need your help
Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland (SIGBI) has had a plot at the National Memorial Arboretum (NMA) since 2002.
We want to attract visitors to our plot by installing an eye-catching statue made of glass and stone, which will reflect the light and make people want to visit our site to find out more about who we are and what we do.
The sculptor who has designed this statue has produced many of the attractive and eye-catching statues already in place on other plots.
Including the 2 base stones, the total height of the statue will be around 1.9m, well over the height of an average person. The glass element will be 850cm high.
The cost of the statue is £10,000. We have already received some pledges from individual Soroptimists and know that the target is within our reach.
We want to be able to commission the statue by the end of July, to be in place in the Autumn. Please support our appeal.
