SPONSOR US NOW
In 1921 two hand-picked Scouts went on an expedition of a lifetime to Antarctica accompanied by Sir Ernest Shackleton the famous explorer. In 2021 Kent Scouts plan to commemorate 100 years of this epic journey by sending a team of scouts to help crew a classic ship on a journey similar to the original whilst undertaking a research project.
The original expedition was called Quest and we would like you to join us by supporting Request, which will be an incredibly rewarding experience. Along the way it will promote personal development whilst working towards top scouting awards and changing their lives forever.
Our expedition patron is Felicity Aston MBE, the first woman to ski solo across Antarctica. She is fully behind our endeavours and has sent us these motivating words: “I am delighted to be a supporting patron of this Kent Scouts Expedition. Here's to chasing winter all the way to Antarctica!”
We are looking to raise an initial £5000 for each participant and there are various levels of sponsorship we would like to offer - including the option to have your brand's logo displayed in all our printed and digital content that we will produce in support of this amazing expedition. You will also have the chance to attend our exclusive sponsors event in 2021 where we plan to recreate the ship going down the Thames and have Tower Bridge raised just for us.
The participants of Request are dedicated to the cause and love the idea of commemorating Sir Ernest Shackleton’s chosen scouts in such a way. They will each need to personally fundraise £5000 in addition to the money already raised. Please sponsor us and help make Request happen. It will provide an incredible opportunity for your organisation to support the growth of each individual and the scouting movement as a whole whilst also becoming part of history.
