Richmond Community Sponsorship Appeal

Why we need your help

The world is facing a refugee crisis on an unprecedented scale. More than 65 million people have been forced to leave their homes due to war or persecution.

Riverbank Trust is a charity working in Richmond upon Thames in partnership with the local authority, Richmond Parish Lands, volunteers, churches and other organisations and funders to support one of these families.

In the next few months, we will be welcoming one family from Syria into our community through the Home Office Community Sponsorship. We are committed to directly support and sponsor the newly resettled family from the moment they arrive in the UK for a minimum of 2 years.

We have a house that we have started renting and a team of paid staff and volunteers that are co-ordinating this project - from interpreters, English tuition and home furnishings to identifying local support services and schools.

We need your help to raise funds that willl enable the team to continue working to support the family and pay for essential services.

We are grateful for any amount you feel able to give.
