This emergency food delivery service stopped mid-June and since then we have been working hard to ensure our service users can all shop safely and remotely, by phoning their orders through to our ShopMobility hub at Sainsbury's on Garratt Lane, for delivery directly to their homes.
We are very keen to get our essential Shopmobility service up and running as soon as it is safe to do so again, in line with the most up to date government guidelines
Planning ahead we know that we will need lots of personal protection equpiment in order to keep our 100s of services users, volunteers and drivers safe, this PPE is essential but expensive.
We have been gifted 1000 masks by our friends at Katherine Low Settlement but we still urgently need to raise money for the following please:
- Industrial spraying machine and antiviral, antibacterial detergent for our minibuses, mobility scooters and wheelchairs; this is the same machine and detergent grade that is used by TFL to keep al Londoners safe
- Hand sanitiser
Without these essential items, we will be unable to get our much loved and needed service up and running again. We need your help please.
Please join us in our fundraising, either by donating through this page today or by setting yourself a personal fundraising challenge this summer, now lockdown has eased, with an online Virgin Money Giving page, like this one. Please contact us if you would like further information on how to create a personal challenge.
Our ShopMobiliy service is at the heart of our community and everyone needs it back where it should be, helping older and vulnerable people get out and about, regaining independence and making healthy food choices amongst friends.
Thanks so much for your generosity and for caring about the safety of our service users, volunteers and drivers.
