St Michael's 2020 Charities
Why we need your help
St Michael and All Angels, Bedford Park, supports three chosen charities, each for a period of three years. Below are details of our 2020 charities.
The Charities...
The Upper Room is a front-line charity working with socially and economically disadvantaged people in West London. They work with people who are experiencing homelessness – including those at risk of homelessness. Providing 26,000 meals a year, as well as clothing and toiletries, the Upper Room offers a safe and warm environment in the short-term, while providing support to help people rebuild their lives in the long-term.
WaterHarvest is a small UK-registered charity working in the remote and arid villages of rural India, where communities are still struggling to survive without running water. Our project is to install ‘taankas’ to harvest the monsoon rains and thus provide a sustainable year-round supply of safe water for the poorest of the poor in the state of Rajasthan.
West London Welcome is a free drop-in centre for refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants who have settled in West London and the wider London area, providing them with the access to the services and support they need to lead full lives within their local community. Above all it is a place of welcome and acceptance for famiies and individuals.
All donations and Gift Aid received as part of this campaign, whether online or directly at St Michael's, are divided equally between the three charities. Thank you for your support.
