Support Iolanthe Midwifery Awards
Why we need your help
We all know that midwives do an incredible job helping those giving birth, their babies and families. They also continually strive to improve the care they give.
Sadly, in these times of limited resources, midwives and students can find it hard to get funding for extra training, improve local services or to do research which will improve midwifery care.
Each year the Iolanthe Midwifery Trust grants a number of financial awards to midwives and students. Iolanthe relies on donations to ensure that we can fund as many awards for midwives and student midwives as possible each year.
Please give generously to support the work we do!
Our award winners testify to the difference that having an Iolanthe Award makes to them:
"Having an award from Iolanthe means that this work is valued. By doing this you are advocating for the women and babies who are often forgotten, misunderstood and already disadvantaged"
Laura Abbott, Midwives Award Winner, working with pregnant women in prison
"Deaf women can experience social exclusion and isolation during their pregnancy and early parenting years. They can also face barriers in acessing services. With my award I was able to study level 2 BSL and have been able to used my new language skills within practice."
Sarah Scarlett, Student Award Winner, working with deaf pregnant women
By supporting midwives to develop themselves and their practice, Iolanthe helps to improve midwifery care to the benefit of all pregnant women, their babies and their families.
