Massed Come and Sing at Kempton Park
Why we need your help
'We are passionate about enabling singers to join together and raise their voices to help those with life limiting illnesses. For us, singing is a life enhancing activity and this seems an appropriate way to give something back for the pleasure we enjoy' Hospice care changes lives, offering quality care, dignity and compassion for people facing the end of their life. Every year hospices provide expert support to around 360,000 people, including adults and children with life-limiting or terminal conditions and their friends and families. Next Event Our next event is a Massed Come and Sing Performance of The Armed Man on 27th September which will be attended by the composer Sir Karl Jenkins who is a great VfH supporter.
All Hospices are heavily reliant on fundraising. For example, Princes Alice Hospice in Esher, where Voices for Hospices originated back in 1989 now needs over £9m/year to run but only receives 25% from the NHS. While the precise numbers vary from Hospice to Hospice the reliance on fundraising certainly does not!
The Voices for Hospices Choir organises fundraising Concerts and Come and Sing events and seeks to encourage other choirs to set up their own VfH events to support their local Hospices.
