Community Welfare Van

Why we need your help

Sadly our community welfare van has come to the end of its time. The van which has served us well for 11 years, suffered both mechanical problems and from several leaks.

We are funding for a year old van which will be kitted out with three cages to allow us to safely transport animals.

We work very actively in the local community. We run an animal welfare round at least twice a week where we visit homes where there are concerns or they have called for help. We will collect animals needing new homes when required, often without warning should the owner pass away or if there is an emergency situation. We also work in areas where feral cats are breeding and causing issues with our trap, neuter, release programme.

In busy periods such as kitten season (generally April-October) we often have to have periods out most days or even days when two teams are required, either due to the number of calls needed or if there is a larger animal collection, rescue or potentially volatile situation.

All donations are very gratefully recieved.
