Queues are all too common in Kings Cross. We queue for our coffee, we queue for our weekend brunch at one of the wonderful restaurants and we queue to get our trains in and out every day. But every morning, just before 10:30am, a queue forms outside New Horizon Youth Centre for a very different reason.
Every year, thousands of young people across London become homeless because of family breakdown, domestic abuse, poverty, youth violence or war and persecution in their home country. For them, New Horizon Youth Centre is a vital support service offering everything they need under one roof, helping them to improve their health, change their economic circumstance and ultimately find somewhere they can call home.
The homelessness crisis is clear to everyone living and working here but beneath it lies a much bigger – and largely invisible – set of issues affecting young people struggling to get by.
From October 1st through to World Homelessness Day on October 10th we are partnering with Argent and the thriving community of organisations in the area for Kings Cross vs Youth Homelessness - a 10 day takeover that will raise greater awareness of the challenges faced by young people and highlight what it really means to be homeless in the capital and what we can do together as a community to support them.
Young people tell us that surviving is a talent, but with your support we know those talents can be used for so much more.
How to get involved in Kings Cross vs Youth Homelessness
We are asking the Kings Cross community to come together to do, discuss or donate and help tackle the important issue of youth homelessness.

Come together with the community of Kings Cross to do, discuss or donate and help tackle the important issue of youth homelessness.
