In February 2019, Dunston Staiths suffered a major arson attack.

This campaign (launched by Staiths Friends, volunteers who support the restoration project) is to raise funds - firstly to carry out works to make the structure safe for public access once more, and secondly to repair the fire damage.

Thanks to donations to date, Staiths will be open for Easter weekend, as funds have covered the cost of fencing off the burnt area.

Fundraising continues to enable this section to be repaired, including installing new deck planks.
