Telford Big Sleep Out - Home Edition 2020

Further information

Our hope was to bring you a bigger and louder event this year, but the outbreak of Covid-19 has changed many things for lots of us. To ensure your safety, we have decided it wouldn't be appropriate to host this year's sleep out in the same fashion, but now more than ever, we need your support with increasing numbers of people seeking assistance to resolve their homelessness. Stay-Telford and Maninplace will be teaming up once again but this year, we are doing it all at home. We are hoping you will support us by doing your individual sleep out in your garden, where you can still take part but do it safely. It is a great chance for families to get involved in the safety of their own garden but please consider whether it is safe for your family members to take part and please ensure you follow government guidance to ensure your safety. We won't leave you alone! We will be hosting a live video feed from the Maninplace headquarters in Wellington where we will stream a live disco for you courtesy of Astro Entertainment. There will be a chance for you to send us videos of why you're taking part and to show us images of your cardboard palaces and a chance to ask questions to our team members. Yes, you guessed it, the "Best cardboard Palace" competition will be back with a prize up for grabs. We hope to bring other prizes to be won on the night too. This year is going to be very different, but we hope you will have just as much fun in your garden, all while raising valuable funds to support the work of Stay-Telford and Maninplace. THANK YOU

Who can take part

The Telford Big Sleep Out is open to anyone this year as it will be people and families taking part in their own home/garden. All we ask is that you please stay safe and use your judgement on whether it is safe for you/your family to be out in the cold.
