MAG (Mines Advisory Group) is a humanitarian organisation clearing the remnants of conflict for the benefit of communities worldwide.

MAG saves lives and builds futures by working with others to:

• Reclaim land contaminated with the remnants of conflict (landmines, unexploded ordnance etc).
• Find ways to reduce the daily risk of death or injury for local communities.
• Create safe and secure conditions for development, free from armed violence.

By clearing land of dangerous mines and other weapons farmers can grow crops, children can walk to school and families can build houses without risking life and limb.

MAG is a Nobel Peace Prize winning charity, awarded for its work with the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL) which led to the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty.

MAG has worked in around 35 countries including: Angola, Burundi, Cambodia, Chad, Colombia, Cyprus, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gaza, Iraq, Jordan, Lao P.D.R., Lebanon, Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria and Vietnam.
