Addison's Disease Self-Help Group

Who we are

We support people affected by Addison's Disease, a rare endocrine disorder in which the adrenal glands do not produce enough steroid hormones. The condition affects almost 10,000 people in the United Kingdom & Republic of Ireland. The Addison’s Disease Self-Help Group (ADSHG) was founded in 1984 to support anyone affected by adrenal insufficiency.

We work to provide practical support to people affected by Addison's Disease in a number of ways :

We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (non-profit) registered with the Charity Commission. We are governed by a team of volunteer trustees and run day-to-day by our Operations Team.
