Royal Trinity Hospice is the UK’s oldest surviving hospice and was established in 1891. Trinity aims to provide excellent palliative care, including medical, emotional and practical support to any adult suffering from a terminal illness in our catchment area of 750,000 people.

We aim to provide patients with a holistic care programme, free of charge here in the hospice or in a patient’s home, depending on where an individual wishes to spend their final days. We are here to help patients to live every moment and maintain as much independence as possible, and we assist their families and friends during such a challenging time. Trinity’s work is divided in to five main areas:

  • Community care to patients in their own homes and care and residential homes
  • Inpatient services for those whose needs cannot be met at home
  • Outpatient services
  • Family support for those close to our patients
  • Bereavement services

We are a registered charity and only receive around 25% of our funding from the NHS. The rest we raise ourselves which is around £9 million and we could not do this without the generosity of our supporters so please give what you can.
