Missing People

Who we are

We offer a lifeline for the 186,000 people who are reported missing each year. For those left behind we provide specialised support to ease the heartache and confusion, and help search for their missing loved ones.

What we provide:

Our 24/7, free and confidential helpline - we're always here to listen

116 000 is the number to call, text or email for advice, support and options if you, or someone you love, goes missing or runs away.

Our caring and highly trained volunteers are here 24/7 to discuss your options and try to get you the support you need on our free and confidential helpline.

Emotional support

For the families and friends left behind, we provide round the clock emotional support as they face an agonising wait for news. We campaign on behalf of all families affected, to enable long-term solutions that ease the heartache and end the confusion.

Publicity

We make appeals for vulnerable missing people from every region of the UK. When someone is missing and considered vulnerable, our publicity appeals can help to gather vital information from the public. These appeals can also reach the missing person and encourage them to make contact.
