About us

Tragically one in three of us will develop cancer in our lifetime. Even if we are not directly affected, almost all of us will be moved by the pain and suffering cancer causes to a relative or friend. By running a marathon, doing an overseas trek or undertaking a cycling challenge, you can play an important part in helping us to make the discoveries that defeat cancer.

The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) is one of the world’s most influential cancer research institutes. Our scientists and clinicians are working every day in our labs – in Chelsea and Sutton, London – to make a real impact on cancer patients’ lives.

To read more about our latest discoveries, read our blog or visit www.icr.ac.uk.

Our Everyman appeal raises funds for our pioneering research into male cancers.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in British men with around 40,000 new cases diagnosed each year, while testicular cancer remains the most common cancer in men aged 15-44.

Whether you choose to support the ICR directly or via our Everyman appeal, the funds you raise for our world-leading cancer research is vital.

Thank you for your support.
