Promise for Life Appeal

Throughout 2014 Beat is celebrating its 25th anniversary and as part of our events to mark this we will be holding a memorial service at Norwich Cathedral, dedicated to the memory of those who have tragically lost their lives to eating disorders.

We will be re-launching our Promise for Life appeal at the service - an appeal to help us carry on our vital work to beat eating disorders and support families.

Eating disorders claim more lives than any other mental illness and one in five of the most seriously affected will die prematurely.

Luke who spoke about the loss of his sister at our first memorial service at Southwark Cathedral in 2010 is supporting our Promise for Life appeal.

“Speaking at the previous Service of Dedication was a true honour but also one of the hardest things I have ever done. Putting into words the pain and sense of never ending loss was hard but if what I said made the smallest difference and raised the often hidden and stigmatised issue of eating disorders as a very real and dangerous mental illness then every sentence was worthwhile. We shall never forget those lost and will fight hard each and every day to help Beat carry on their amazing work and commitment to understanding and helping those suffering.”

Please donate to our appeal today and help us to beat eating disorders – thank you for your support
