Who we are
Brainwave is a charity that helps children with disabilities achieve greater independence.
Brainwave we work with children living with a range of conditions including autism, cerebral palsy and Down syndrome.
We aim to improve children’s mobility, communication skills and learning potential through a range of educational and physical therapies. Brainwave provides a relaxed, fun and friendly atmosphere in our fully equipped centres to encourage engagement, learning and development.
Our multidisciplinary team of qualified therapists devise a structured Therapy Programme that families can continue at home, helping children reach their potential.
We need to raise over £3 million each year to run our three Brainwave Centres in Essex, Somerset and Cheshire, our two satellite clinics in London and Scotland, and our charity shops. Brainwave is an independent organisation that compliments the NHS. We do not receive government funding, so we rely on voluntary donations to run our service.
