Cornwall Air Ambulance was the first of its kind in the country and has been flying since April 1st 1987.  We have now flown over 30,000 emergency missions, helping people in their time of need. To keep this lifesaving service running the charity needs to raise over £4.5million a year.  
As a charity Cornwall Air Ambulance relies on the generosity of community groups, individuals and businesses to keep the helicopter flying and saving lives each year. From its base at Newquay Airport, the air ambulance can reach any part of the county within 20 minutes and the Isles of Scilly within 28 minutes, and on average arrives on scene within 12 minutes of a 999 call. 

In 2019, Cornwall Air Ambulance were tasked to 1,144 emergencies in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly – a range of medical and trauma incidents. The aircrew attend to the sickest and most seriously injured patients across the county.
