Children's Heartbeat Trust
Who we are
Children’s Heartbeat Trust is a local charity in Northern Ireland. Our mission is to support children and young people with congenital heart disease (CHD) by providing practical, emotional and financial support. Over 200 babies are born each year in Northern Ireland with CHD.
We work closely with the paediatric Cardiology team at Clark Clinic and the Children’s Heart Centre at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children to ensure families can access the best cardiac care, support and information as possible.
We provide a variety of services including hospital support, family support groups, youth and family support services as well as funding research projects and campaigning for the voice of children, young people and their families affected by CHD. Our support helps children and young people with heart disease live full and empowered lives; informed about their heart condition but not overwhelmed by it.
We are passionate and dedicated to improve the lives of each heart family, young person and child we meet. We have a big impact in the difference we make to local families; who are at the heart of all our services. We are supported by voluntary donations and do not receive any government funding.
