CENUK charity challenge October 2016

A charity challenge to Everest Base Camp is being orgnised fo October 2016. The total cost including all flights, permits, food, hotsls, lodges etc will be £2400pp however f you request a sponsorship pack then this sum can be dramatically reduced. Trek Overview

This traditional Everest Base Camp trek is perhaps the most famous in the world; ideal for those who are new to the delights of trekking or those with limited time. Upon arrial in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by the wonderful husle and bustle, sights and smells of this vibrant city. The next day we will have one day to visit the 4 UNESCO world heritage sights in Kthmandu followed by a Nepali evening including dance and food. The next day we make an early departure for the famous Lukla airstrip where the trek begins.

You will find yourself immersed the wonders of this beautiful country, with its idyllic blue roofd hourse, colourful prayer flags, friendly Sherpa life and breathtaking scenery.We trek through the prosperous NamcheBazaar and many other delightful villages including Thyangboche with its impressive temple and the quieter farming village of Dingboche. At many points along this route you will stand in awe admist breathtaking mountain views f the one of the most beautiful peaks in the world. Ama Dablam, leading to the towering faces of Everest itself.

We arrive at Everest Base Camp and finally compete our impressive journey with an ascent of the magnificent peak of Kalar Patar at 5554m. You will be rewarded with an awesome 360 degree panaroma of spectacular 8000m peaks; each one framing the world’s highest. This moment is a long-awaited and much sought after sight.

All trekking nights are in Teahouses/lodges , no camping.
