Hereford Cathedral Perpetual Trust

Who we are

Hereford Cathedral Perpetual Trust

The Perpetual Trust was founded to support the ongoing restoration of the cathedral, ensure the financial security of the choir and to help the Chapter to deliver projects. The Trust is a registered charity, is registered with the fundraising regulator and is a corporate member of the Institute of Fundraising.

Through the generosity of our supporters and funders the Perpetual Trust have been able to deliver a range of projects including:

  • The restoration of the historic Willis organ
  • Support for the choristers
  • Restoration of Cathedral Close, St John Walk, the eastern range of the College Cloisters and much more
  • Stone Mason apprenticeships
  • Funding of education open days and the development of the Tudor and Pilgrimage workshops for school’s groups

Each year the Trust needs to raise a minimum of £500,000 to support its grants to Chapter.

The Trust works hard to raise additional funds for capital repairs and to build a long term investment fund to support the Cathedral in the years to come. In order to raise this level of funding we rely on the support of individuals, legacies, grants and fundraising events.

Thank you for your support.
