Woodlands Hospice Charitable Trust
Who we are
We are Woodlands
Woodlands Hospice is an independent charity providing specialist palliative care and support for people in North Liverpool, South Sefton and Kirkby living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
What we do
Our services include day therapy sessions, outpatient clinics, including a lymphoedema clinic, stress management clinics, physiotherapy and occupational therapy and outreach care within patients own homes or on our 15-bed inpatient unit.
Our care is very ‘unique’ to each person with great emphasis not just on physical symptom control and pain management but also emotional needs. The Hospice team provides care in the truest sense of the word: the holding of a hand, comfort and support, caring words and emotional support is offered to patients and family members alike. The most important aspect of our care is the way it is communicated to each person, with tenderness, understanding and love.
We need your support!
Woodlands Hospice is not a part of the NHS and we are an independent registered charity. Whilst we receive funding from the three local Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), we still have to find a significant proportion of our income through public generosity, fundraising and donations.
Thank you for visiting our Virgin Money Giving page. Anything you can donate will go directly to supporting our work at the hospice and in the community.
