Sir Thomas Lipton Foundation
Who we are
The goal of the Sir Thomas Lipton Foundation is to raise the aspirations, confidence, self-belief, skills and knowledge of whole classes of Primary 6 and 7 pupils who go to school in postcodes categorised as areas of multiple deprivation. We do that through an innovative and unique programme called Buoyed Up.
It comprises of an interactive classroom project on the life of Sir Thomas Lipton, the famous global tea entrepreneur and America's Cup challenger; talks from inspiring speakers; five consecutive days of sailing; a maritime World Of Work experience; a special presentation by the pupils; and further opportunities to develop new sporting and learning skills.
With your help we can make Buoyed Up a memorable and life-changing experience for many more pupils. Please take this opportunity to support us in whatever way you can. Thank you.
