Who we are
Bexley SNAP exist to help ensure that disabled children in Bexley are supported to have the best opportunities and experiences they can to enable them to have full and fulfilling lives.
We offer a range of short breaks services to support this; holiday play-schemes, weekend activities and youth clubs. We support families by offering information and signposting, counselling and courses.
For pre-school disabled children we have an Early Years project offering a variety of activites. The aim of this project is to encourage the development of young children and babies with any disability and have a strong focus on sensory play. We teach parents how to use every day objects to promote sensory stimulation as well as using specialist equipment to stimulate the senses, develop social skills and enhance learning.
The CEO of SNAP sits on strategic boards and planning groups, ensuring that the needs of disabled children and families are considered in future plans for services across the borough.
In addition, we organise social trips and fundraising events designed to raise money while having fun!
