LINLITHGOW YOUNG PEOPLES PROJECT

Who we are

Linlithgow Young People’s Project (LYPP) is a youth project which was planted in the heart of the community, 30 years ago in partnership with the churches in Linlithgow. Our purpose then, as it is today, is to support the young people of Linlithgow and the surrounding areas in all aspects of their development, and to foster a sense of ‘hope’ in the lives and circumstances of the young people we come in contact with.
Every year we engage with over 1000 young people through a range of activities which enable them to express themselves in a wide variety of ways and create opportunities for them to learn about themselves and develop new skills. Last year we ran 282 open sessions through our work in Linlithgow and Bridgend, creating 3517 contacts. On top of this we are a familiar face within local schools, tackle poor mental health, and run extensive holiday programmes.
