Who we are
Established in 1985 as a registered charity, Links International works with partners in the west and in developing countries to educate, empower, resource and inspire individuals and communities to break free from the cycle of poverty. This is achieved through community healthcare, micro-enterprise development, training resources, income-generating projects and strategic partnerships. The result is holistic and sustainable.
Links provides project support, oversight, and strategic advice to its partners. Accountability is key to ensure successful, sustainable projects. Links invests time and resources in project visits, communication and financial reporting.
‘Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.’ (Chinese Proverb)
We love teaching people how to fish but believe that, if they are not given a fishing rod, they may still starve. That’s why Links ‘links’ education to practical projects with a strategy that, quite literally, save lives.
